I don't think the...

I have a degree in Maths which...

Re: ACS - What is relevant experience?

Hi Shaun,

It seems likely that you don't have a relevant IT qualification equating to a degree or a diploma. If that's the case, then your only option would be to take the RPL route for which...

Re: RPL Application

Hi Rick,

I can't comment on your qualifications, but it they are recognised you would not need to do the RPL and would only need 6 years experience. However, I'd check that out.

I was advised...

Re: Herts Meet Up 20th May - Whos Up For It?

Hi Mick,

Thanks for organising it all. It was good to get to speak to quite a few like-minded people at last! Unfortunately I don't think we got around to speaking to everyone, but I think our...

Re: TESCO coming to Joondalup

I can't believe this thread is still going either, especially since it was obviously a hoax when it started!! Anyway, it always used to be "Tesco" and "J Sainsbury's", although the later has lost the...

Re: Australian Computer Society

Hi Jude,

This used to be the case and encouraged me to join the BCS. Then they changed the rules for BCS. So I joined the NZCS. Then they changed the rules on the NZCS. So I submitted an RPL in...

Re: RPL "with assessor"...

Well done. It's good to see the ACS are actually doing something though! My status has been "to be allocated" for 5 and a half weeks now! According to austimeline it should move to "In process"...

Re: Do it yourself or use an agent??

I have to say that I thought it all looked relatively straight-forward myself too, but decided to use an agent for peace of mind - mainly around the ACS RPL skills assessment.

I had to pay £425...

My agent told me that I only need the references and any qualification certificates. Maybe it's different for the TRA though - I am waiting for an ACS assessment atm.

Oh, and the full birth...

Re: Certifying Docs - The Cheap & Easy Way!

I was lucky then! My solicitor charged me £30 to certify 52 sides of A4. I photocopied them myself, dropped them off the next morning and picked them up that afternoon. Surprisingly easy.

My...

Re: Herts Meet Up 20th May - Whos Up For It?

Hi Mick et al,

This sounds like a good idea, so I'll be coming along with my wife and 2 year old daughter. Our 9-year old son can't make it though.

We currently live in Bedfordshire, but are...
