Re: ENS- 3years experience...please help!!

It's been a while since I applied, but at the time the requirement for full time was 20 hours+ per week, so you should be fine ( unless it's changed ). I had to come on a 457 visa as I didn't have...

Re: Anyone taking their car to Australia

Had the second replacement done last Friday, so only about 3 weeks for it to arrive in Perth. I have to say the customer service was excellent and although they made a mistake, they were upfront and...

Re: Phones and Contracts?

Completely agree. Also the international calls include mobiles, which most other plans don't. Brilliant. :)

Re: Child and youth Mental Health

Sorry, don't know anything about that area. In my experience ( WA ) child and adolescent services are not as advanced as in the UK, especially community services. Things are improving ( I've been...

Re: Anyone taking their car to Australia

 Not sure. Maybe my explanation wasn't good, but the aerial sensor in the glass should be on the left side, but the way they have put the windscreen in means that it is now on the right side and...

Re: ENS (856) visa......cause for optimism?

Sounds like you're almost there. I would be calling your case officer tomorrow ( or today). I called mine the moment I got the name and he was great.

We had our new meds, bloods and xrays done in...

Re: ENS (856) visa......cause for optimism?

Hope you get a case officer soon. Just a word of caution - we came to Perth on a 457 visa and also got sponsored for ENS shortly after (I work for the Health Dept too), thinking that we could use...

Re: 457 meds for PR application?

Hi

As soon as our application was recieved, we got a letter from DIMA with our case officers name on. I phoned him and clarified what was needed, then booked the medicals. All very straightforward...

Re: 457 meds for PR application?

We lodged our application before meds were done ( I was applying for ENS - not sure if that makes a difference ). Good luck with it all.

Re: Importing Cars

Child anchor points are compulsary in WA ( not sure about other states ). They can be a complete pain in the arse to fit as well if you don't have a standard / Oz model car. I brought over my beetle...

Re: 457 meds for PR application?

I came out on a 457 and then transferred to ENS ( I'm in WA ). Couldn't use the same medicals even though they were only a few months old. Queried this with the case officer, but they wouldn't accept...

Re: Hello

Glad you're not looking after my kids - what a pissy attitude. Why not listen to the advice you're given and be grateful. It could help you ( and save money ) in the long run.

Re: should we try another part of Australia?

If hes back by about 4.30pm, then he's pretty lucky. Make the most of it. Most people I know ( in varied professions ) are lucky to be back by 6.30pm.

I'm in the Hills and have a child at Kalamunda High. It used to have a good reputation, but this has been dropping each year for a while now. Lesmurdie High is far better and would be most locals...

What area will your partner be working in at Bentley, eg - older adult / child and adolescent etc? In my experience it's all pretty much the same as the UK - depends on the staff you've got around...

Re: CO request for information

Hiya

I was sponsored by WA on ENS ( subclass 856 as I was already here ). For both my 457 and ENS, I had to provide evidence of registration with the NBWA. Double check with your CO, but mine and...

Hi Gems

Don't worry - your son will be fine at PMH. I work there ( psych med, so link in a lot with worried kids / families on the medical wards ). Usually no problem for a parent / carer to stay...

Re: perth in august

I work at PMH ( Child and Adolescent Mental Health ), so maybe worth giving them a thought as the main acute services are based there. There is a CAMHS in the Peel region, covering Mandurah but it's...

Re: Directions to Princess Margaret Hospital?

Crazy isn't it? I work at PMH and can also vouch for the fact that the area is monitored very closely by the 'ticket police', who are more than happy to dish out parking fines.

Bad enough when...

Re: Directions to Princess Margaret Hospital?

To be on the safe side, allow yourself about 30mins to find a parking space. Families are very often late for appts due to parking problems. Staff also have major hassles and each day you will see...
