Similar to yourself, I was advised by a Financial Advisor to do this. If you try to transfer after 6 months, then you are penalised a certain percentage of your pension so you lose out on some money....

I am currently going through the process of transferring my UK pension as well. My Oz super fund (Asteron - part of Royal Sun Alliance) is now set up and they are now speaking directly with my UK...

From checking the updated SOL (Skills Occupation List - March 2006), it is still showing 60 points.

I've not seen or heard anything that IT skills will get less points.

I rang the DIMIA last night to find out this information. By quoting your case number, the operator will be able to locate your region. I found out that I'm in region 5 but still waiting for a case...

What do the regions apply to? Is it where the application is being processed? Or is it where you are...

After 4 months of waiting (application sent in Oct 05), I've just rang the DIMIA for a status update as I'm still waiting for a case officer. I was told that there is a backlog with the applications....
