Nice post Bevs :) I think sometimes we need to remind ourselves what we moved to another country / life for. For me it wasn't financial, it was defo that life / work balance. Health is too important...

I think you'd always have to look at the bigger picture & reason for doing it & post why. And not to let people think that it is the norm & always expected :)

Well said Laura, I am also a nurse, & there are times when we would stay longer without any hesitation, even though we may not have had a meal break throughout the shift.

I totally agree. If I work 15mins extra, I would expect to be paid for it. However, if employees are willing to work overtime for free of course the employers are going to encourage it. What's wrong...
