Caught the Sex Pistols twice in London on the Reunion Tour but I'm by no way a punk but they produced some wonderful stuff. I think my hair was those most boring there and I'd gone straight from work on one occasion.

My mate here in Dunedin is a massive punk fan, he's in a few bands and regularly plays Christchurch. They have a punk festival once a year in a old gang headquarters somewhere in Christchurch.
So you'll not be alone.

Wow, I'd like to see some shows, but I've become more suburban Mum than punker at my age.
Never saw the Pistols, but did catch PIL in '79, and The Clash in '79 at the Palladium, when the opening acts were the Undertones and Sam and Dave. Also saw the Stranglers in '78 at Irving Plaza in NYC. Some would argue that punk was dead by that time, but anyway, those were the days! Also saw Sham69, 999, Stiff Little Fingers, and lots of post punk bands in the early '80s.

In 'The Beating Heart of NZ' we'll have Paul Potts on soon and I believe we've just had Bill Haley Junior; but looks older than his father ever did; and a couple of others acting as The Comets. After leaving the music hub of the UK in Bristol I may have to venture further afield or front my own group.

SLF played in Christchurch at Churchills a few weeks ago. I saw them in Wellington. Here in Welly, I've seen UK Subs a few times (and met Charlie H), Anti Nowhere League, & the Buzzcocks. I've been told that Goldblade are to play here soon.

I was a huge 2nd wave of Punk fan - and saw quite a few gigs in my day. Funnily enough I am just now getting round to selling the records from back then - and am pleasantly surprised at the prices - for a few dusty ol 7" singles! Sold one of my Crass records for a wedge for example.
