I am a USC by decent and have never lived in the States but when I renewed my US passport last month, I was told I had to get a SSN...the list of docs...

We use our points for short breaks within NZ and use them for flights and just shop around for good deals on accommodation. :cool:

As far as I understand, you can't apply for pre-citizenship, and you can't put an application in unless you're fully eligible.

The DIA has a helpful online calculator to find out if...

Apart from the ESTA (if you qualify), Air NZ should contact you in order for you to provide your name and date of birth before travel, as US authorities apparently require them now.

Got my ceremony date in the mail today, which will be on 16 August at Auckland Town Hall :eek:

Pretty quick turnaround as well, the date is just 2 months and a bit after receiving approval :)

I got my Citizenship grant letter in the mail today :eek: Took a bit longer than yours Vitalstatistix but got there in the end.

Their 4 month timeline is very generic, I applied on 15 April and...
