If you happen to have a bit of cash now (maybe from house sale or something) then you can set up an "HSBC Premier Account" in the UK - they will then set up a similar account for you in Canada...

We're planning our removals from the UK and I think I've read somewhere that we have to get mattresses fumigated before they'll let them into Canada.
Does anybody know if this has to be done before...
