Yes you are right, they do not test your blood or ask you your blood type.
The only blood tests you have are for HIV.

We were asked if we had any tatoos as you also need to have a hepatitis as well as HIV injections if you have any.

We have been in Australia for 8 weeks now and have never seen or been involved in any violence what so ever.
I think it depends which area you plan to live in.
