HI, There are some interesting points of view. I came out to NZ in January 05 and have worked in Hamilton all this time. I arrived on a two-year work visa and the first ward I worked on was awful....

I'm also going to WA in the new year on a 457 visa. It took approx 5 weeks to come through. This way it give us time to decide if we want to apply for pr, this way it gives us a try before you buy...

I guess the visa's didn't take long after all. I got the visa's yesterday, so now plans are being made to arrive in the New Year. Thanks for everyone's help, we'll all get there in the end.

No, we came to New Zealand on a two year work permit. As that work permit is nearing the end we thought that we would try Australia. One of the reasons in going for a 457 rather than PR was the time...

I have used Freedom air from Nz to Oz. There pretty much the budget airline used in Nz. We have had no problems with them in the past and are due to use them again when we fly to Oz for another look....
