But remember, when you get there it will probably be a bit of an anticlimax. I know when I go back I already know most the news thanks to Skype,...

Re: Stamps

I don't buy stamps anymore. www.l-mail.com and www.docsaway.com are great for the times when I do want to send letters/documents.

Re: Best comprehensive car insurance

I get on well with AAMI. They do not seem to quibble over claims, and I've had a few. Price might not be the cheapest but I'm happy to go with them. I believe for new cars they now do a 2 year...

Re: Advise needed with regards confidentiality breach at sons school?

Re: uk banks v oz banks

In some situations they do. But bear in mind, if Australian Banks borrow from the UK they then face exchange rate risk. It is this exchange risk, which when protected against takes the interest rates...

Re: Mortgage experience

Is your 'overseas employment' your current employment? The bank is going to need to see evidence of where the money is coming from to pay your mortgage. Past records may help, but not as much as...

Re: diesel or petrol?

Tiguan's don't take the high flow nozzle. However, I've travelled reasonably extensively round the outback and this has not been a problem. I've only had to resort to using a high flow nozzle with a...

Re: diesel or petrol?

+1

And I'd disagree with the poster who says diesel is dirty. Maybe 20 years ago, but not with the modern converters. Diesel engines also last longer that petrol, another aspect to go into the...
