It sounds a bit odd. It sounds like you got a signature when they were delivered? If so, I would contact the passport office to ask what's happening, giving the signed delivery date.

I applied for a first British passport for my son on Feb 8th. It was approved today - yes, on a Sunday morning. Maybe the passport folks are working harder than I've been giving them credit for!

Thanks both. I'm figuring out the details of the spouse visa right now. I will start working in UK on Feb 28th, but will be commuting from DE in the beginning. The family will move in early August....
