I've an unrecognised charge on my credit card from RSBC BCGOV* WWW.RESPON from Edmonton, AB.

CRA form NR74 E?

So, as soon as I settled in BC in April I sent the CRA the HMRC form Canada DT.

The CRA have sent it back today saying I need to fill in their form first, the Determination of Residency Status...

Our current plan is we are going in Canada from the UK in April and will get “settled” status, we did a soft landing to activate my COPR last year.

Thanks for the replies, I did a google as well and it generally says Canada doesn't have a tax on gifts, so we'll have to wait and see what happens and then worry about filling in my first Canadian...
