Re: Education

Youre right. I just thought learning some french might give more points than paying for a degree.

I had a quick look at the points breakdown and the difference between having an high school level...

Re: Education

In my opinion, you'd be better off learning French in the next two years and taking both the french and english tests to bump up your score.

I'm your age, have a four year honours degree, over...

Re: Employer attitude after indicating leaving

I'm in the same boat too. Told my employer on Friday we'll be leaving for Canada beginning of June. I told him now because we've become friends over the years, and as we're a small three people team,...

What immigration path are you intending on using or do you already have the right to work in Canada since you already have a date picked?

Re: Document Resubmission - pls help!

We scanned and submitted every page that had a stamp. We did this for both applicants.

If you provided travel history that should appear as stamps in your passport, then I think they expect to see...

Re: Document Resubmission - pls help!

Don't know if this was mentioned earlier, but did you also scan every page of the passports that had stamps?

Re: IELTS Experience

Re: IELTS Experience

My partner received similar marks except she got 6.5 in writing. This stopped her from getting the desired CLB9 rank to boost her CRS score.

I ordered a retest, paid the £60, and they bumped it up...

Re: PR application - Proof of funds - Applicant's access to spouse's funds

I got everything I asked for from Nationwide, they were very helpful and put everything I needed in my letter. My partner does all her banking with RBS and they were terrible. When we asked for a...

Re: Not sure where to post ppr passport request stuff

This is what we were leaning towards after discussing it last night.

I think we were just worried we would send it to the wrong place and miss the 30 day deadline. I think it's back in the pool...

Re: Not sure where to post ppr passport request stuff

Hi Siouxie,

The thing is, there are two addresses mentioned in the pdf/letter and multiple options depending on your country of origin and the method of which you applied. Similar to this;

Not sure where to post ppr passport request stuff

Hi all,

We were lucky enough to receive the passport request email last week, and we're happy to be able to start planning our future in Canada.

However, the next steps are different depending...

Re: Express Entry Profile states Updated not Transmitted

My memory might not be 100% but I think it's because you need finish or submit that section rather than saving and exiting.

I remember this happening to me a couple of time before I figured out...

Re: MyCIC / IRCC account update

We just gave our biometrics at the end of Nov.

The vfs global site was a bit of a pain trying to book an appointment, but when we got there it was smooth and we were sorted within 30 min.

Re: MyCIC / IRCC account update

Mine wasn't there this morning, but then appeared about 11am. It'll be there later.

By the way, it's not very useful. It only measures the date from your AOR, there's no specific details to your...

Re: Work permit or study permit

Those scores would be good at the moment, but who knows what the cut-off scores might be like in a year or more.

If you haven't already, make you sure you practise for the IELTS exam to get the...

Re: Work permit or study permit

If you're only studying to increase your CRS score and gain permanent residency then you need to know or have a pretty good idea whether you'll get picked once you've completed your course.

Do you...
