The 'just apply' goes against what our immigration lawyers told me to do. They said, that if I applied to anything without the EAD to hand, it would look to USCIS like I was trying to breach my visa...

That probably does make a difference. I think there are many of us being driven crazy waiting for the EAD to continue with our careers, I was hoping their was a way to fast track it but probably not...

I think something must have happened to the EAD systems as 1 year ago it was taking 6-8 weeks and now it’s much much longer, much closer to 6 months than 6 weeks. It’s a wait and see type of thing...
