I had the same issue in 2009 and paid it off in full. It wasn’t very much because I’m old! I think it was £5000 and it was much better to forgo that amount in savings than pay interest.

In San Diego they literally get you to drive around the block, you don’t even have to turn left. No maneuvers either. The written test is a multiple choice 30 minute test.

It takes a while to get the SSN/EAD once you've applied, so if you can do it ahead of time I would encourage you to do...

After 12 years here this is the one thing that made me want to go home the most often. 10 days is so rubbish (but normal - 20 days VACATION... ha ha, maybe after 10+ years...
