Re: OT: Folinskyinla withdraws from British Expats

I rarely post here anymore. In fact, rarely stop in to see what's happening. This is a shock - Matt and Folin have provided some of the best info on any site that I've been associated with. It was...

Re: Filing for AOS, EAD, Advance Parole in Portland, OR

Northwest has a number of Asia flights originating and terminating at PDX. The half-dozen or so reports I've read about entering on K and CR visas have been quite positive. Quick and freindly.

Re: Question concerning K1 Visa for Chinese Citizen living abroad

Timing would certainly be a cause for concern. I know of a few Chinese students in Canada who had to wait for all of the special clearances to finish up. One of the members on Candle is an Aussie and...

Re: Question concerning K1 Visa for Chinese Citizen living abroad

Very, very interesting. It might work that easily if the couple were US/Aussie, but Chinese citizens are subject to an endless array of clearances. These are not waived by residence in a different...

Re: Question concerning K1 Visa for Chinese Citizen living abroad

I'd point you to candleforlove.com for questions about marriage visa processing in China. We're a group of US/Chinese couples with a wealth of experience.

Talking Re: Help Please – New to Forum

Ian, you are one warped puppy. I always enjoy your SP comments and they are usually right on. Not sure how I missed this thread earlier, or why I read it now, but what a trip. Haven't laughed so much...

Re: K3 Approved from Guangzhou - 1 1/2 years

Nothing about Guanzghou is normal. About half of the folks who returned their P-3 in July are still waiting for an interview. The December interview shedule is full and who knows about January.

Re: OT: The Penge Bungalow Murders

Gotta love Leo Kern. Rumpole was a fitting character for him and saw most of the episodes that were broadcast here, but I also had the pleasure of seeing him in Shakespearian roles. He was a...

Re: My Girl Is a Commie

I don't know about other places, but at GZ, K-applicants don't do the DS-230 Part II, only Part I that comes with P-3.

If you have read through the various postings on Candle about this question,...

Re: My Girl Is a Commie

JEff, China K-1 applicants get a form GNI-2 in their P-4 packet. There are two questions on the form that ask about membership.

Q7 asks for all organizations or political parties you are now or...

Re: Why is Guangzhou taking so long?

Guangzhou is running 5 ~ 6 months from P-3. The last batch of P-4s filled out the interview calendar through November with P-3 dates of very early June. For the best info on what is going on with GZ,...

Re: GZ Consulate - K3 Visa Denied - Help!

Sam, GZ can be that way. Save the lawyer money and get a ticket; that is the most common way to overcome a GZ rejection.

Also, check out http://candleforlove.com where you will find stories about...

Agreed - in that order, for US/Chinese couples.

For the period between filing and approval of the petition, Brits is an excellent resource for what is going on in the service centers. From the...

Re: K-1 or K-3 which is faster coming from China?

There seems to be little difference these days. What happens downstream is anyone's guess. To get an idea of how people's cases are progressing at Guangzhou, check out:

Congrats on the NOA2. It's time to move on to sites that deal specifically with US/China issues. BExpats is a great place for info about starting the process or doing AOS, but dealing with the...
