Forgot to mention, you can also get 'offal' so don't despair! I have bought my OH stuffed lambs hearts and kidney from my local 'English' butcher, he will give you a hard time if you don't support...

They sell Marmite in Loblaws, unfortunately Bovril is my addition! Can buy a VERY small jar for $3.95 in a fairly local store though - ouch!

Open a bank account and send any excess funds over before hand - we sold our house in the UK and had oooodles of cash to bring over but stuck it in the bank for our arrival in Canada.

Our post box has loads of 'flyers' on it, you know the ones with the tear off numbers on it. I wouldn't worry about it, all they can do is throw them away.
