Re: Baby born in US to UK/US married couple

[QUOTE=Dan725;5753146]I'm inclined to agree with you Lofty. Our 17 month old daughter currently has her US passport (which we got her when she was tiny, about 3-4 months old) - and she already looks...

Re: Baby born in US to UK/US married couple

UK fee raises for immigration/nationality enquiries are no joke...I don't know that they would raise the costs for citizen services quite as much as they do for immigrants but my husband and I...

Re: timeline and couple questions (K1 fianc? visa)

I can't promise, of course, but it sounds to me like December will be okay. September 9 was actually my fiance's interview date, which did end up being about six weeks from the date that he sent in...

Re: Anyone from Texas here?

I'm in Austin, and my fiance got his visa from London at the beginning of September and is finally flying out here on Wednesday! I'd be happy to answer any questions I can.

Re: K-1 London question

If I recall the timeline correctly, my fiance sent in his forms mid-July, around the 23rd I think, and he got his interview date notification in the mail just about three weeks later. His interview...

Re: London embassy processing times

Depends on whether you mean Sept. 11 of this year, or last year. If you mean this year, I don't know, because our interview was in the first week of September. If it's last Sept. 11, which I...

Re: Engagement ring

Pulaski,

Sorry to have to break this to you, but some of us are students without permanent jobs who can't afford to put ourselves into massive amounts of debt for what is essentially the product...

Re: Engagement ring

Also, although this was pre-September 11th of last year, I've crossed into Canada multiple times, and back, and never been asked more than why I'm visiting, so didn't realize such a big deal was made...

Re: Engagement ring

Lest I sound like an idiot, yes, I have been in and out of the country, many, many times. As I recall, the amount of the exemption is fairly high, at least entering into the US, as my engagement...

Re: Engagement ring

This might be a stupid question, but why would they even know that he's bringing an engagement ring across the border? Why would it really matter? So far as I recall, they don't ask at the...

Re: these ADIT photographs are driving me mad!

This is personal experience, NOT a guarantee, but my fiance's photos were somewhat larger than the specs (about the same amount as yours), and our I-129F was approved (TSC), and we got the visa...

Re: I-129F at TSC?

Sounds to me like you should check the www.k1faq.com website, if you haven't already, because they explain the basics of the process.

1st NOA = Notice of Action. The TSC will send you the first...

Re: UK Timelines?

My fiance requested the police report long before we mailed in the I-129f, but from what I've ascertained, they have to send it to you within 40 days of receiving your request. That may be wrong,...

Re: I-134 Affidavit of Support

Both your fiance and his uncle need to fill out separate I-134s. Both forms will need to be notarized.

Good luck!

Re: Follow up Re: K1 visa success - London 9/9/02

If I recall correctly, he:

1. Sent off his packet close to July 20th, as our NOA was on July 11, we didn't hear about it until the 12th or 13th, and he finished assembling everything and sent it...

Re: K1 visa success - London 9/9/02

And, by the way, your fiancee greatly appreciates your prompt call, as I was extraordinarily impatient to find out how things had gone!!!!!

We're getting married December 15th--we could just do the legal ceremony as soon as he gets here, but I'd rather wait, as my student loans will cover for the fact that he can't work *sigh* (unless...

Re: I-129F processing times

Although, just so I'm not lawyer-bashing, some people really do feel more comfortable with a lawyer. If that's you, by all means go for it--just don't feel obligated to do so.
