How old is your 37" HDTV? It's probably pretty recent, but just make sure it has an HDMI input all the same. Older HDTVs don't have them, and so those nice new Blu-ray players will happily...

Actually, I used to live in TO...it's a very nice place, and the traffic's not bad at all...the house prices are though. Also, it doesn't feel like LA sprawl at all, well to me it didn't anyway.
