Lightbulb Re: Advice: Ive just been stopped by the police.

Under the "Freedom of Information Act" you should request a video of the traffic stop.

Hopefully, it will show.......

a) how much warning you had for the school bus

b) if the Cop was tailgating you and would have rear-ended you if you had applied the brakes.

Jim.

And it should be no problem waiting the year or so a FOIA request takes.

So you'll look at it and say "What a fugly yellow that is!". And therefore, you've noticed it. See? Mission accomplished.

When we had baby hummingbirds in a nest on the clothesline, we named the "the fuglies". Anyone who's seen newborn words knows why. DH referred to them thusly in front of an 85-year-old lady. Watching him blush as she said "What's a fugly?"....

The "Danger Zone" is the area on all sides of the bus where children are in the most danger of not being seen by the driver (ten feet in front of the bus where the driver may be too high to see a child, ten feet on either side of the bus where a child may be in the driver's blind spot, and the area behind the bus).

Too high to see a child? I think they should introduce random drug testing...

Notice it - in canada the buses have big black messages saying "STOP WHEN LIGHTS ARE FLASHING" how much more notice does a person need?
