Under the "Freedom of Information Act" you should request a video of the traffic stop.
Hopefully, it will show.......
a) how much warning you had for the school bus
b) if the Cop was tailgating you and would have rear-ended you if you had applied the brakes.

So you'll look at it and say "What a fugly yellow that is!". And therefore, you've noticed it. See? Mission accomplished.
When we had baby hummingbirds in a nest on the clothesline, we named the "the fuglies". Anyone who's seen newborn words knows why. DH referred to them thusly in front of an 85-year-old lady. Watching him blush as she said "What's a fugly?"....
