This is what I hate about US law...there is so much room for interpretation. My wife came in on L2 and just had to present her visa and I-94. She ended up getting her SS delivered before mine.

eh - she is working illegally. And no...there is no way to expedite. EAD takes as long as it takes (currently 4 to 5 months)

She will need to quit her job ASAP as both she AND her employer can...

Anecdotal, but I had my L1B visa in my hand 6 hours after the interview - hadn't even got home from work when my wife called me and said it had arrived :D

It has little or anything to do with what you want unfortunately. Your company and their lawyers will need to do EVERYTHING when it comes to this. My own company would only apply for GC for employees...

The reality is...the examination etc is all a money racket - but she was friendly and knew the process inside out.
