I've applied to a Uni in Alberta, so still waiting to hear if I can go over on a student visa while waiting for the PR. If this is rejected then, basically, i'll be in the same position...

Ours is dated June '04 and indicates a wait of up to 18 months!
Stats. to June '04 are indicating a wait of 23 months for 50% of cases. Here's hoping...

According to the CIC site, the stats. for processing are:
30% of cases finalized in 16 months, 50% in 23 months, 70% in 30 months and 80% in 33 months :scared:
