I always wondered what a "vegemite sandwich" was (those who grew up in the 80's know exactly the song that brought vegemite sandwiches to fame)
Then I had the unfortunate experience of having an aussie (my lurvely hubby) bring some to Canada. I tried!! I really did! But definately not my thing. I still have to fight holding my nose when I make his favorite brekky.... vegemite and cheese on toast.

I paid £2.18 for a 250g jar in Sainsbury's this week. We eat at least one of these every week, especially under beans on toast mmmmmm.

Have to agree about Vegemite being yukky too, but my husband, who is very strange, also likes Vecon (which is a veggie stock) on his toast! No accounting for taste eh!

I LOve Marmite!! Have you tried the marmite crisps? (from Walkers) My hubby hates the stuff -- he even refuses to kiss me after I have had some on toast -- hehehe I don't get headaches at night I get a marmite snack!!!
