Re: Travelling through EES citing EU Directive 2004/38/EC - travel with Spanish

Thanks. I understand what you are saying. But I do not accept why my wife will and should encounter trouble. You like the border guards are linking unrestricted multiple short stay EU movements by a...

Re: Schengen - EU Family Member

Hi Fergus,

Re: Travelling through EES citing EU Directive 2004/38/EC - travel with Spanish

Thanks for advice but in Portugal and I think in Spain too, is that an application for a residence card on the basis of then becoming an ‘EU Family Member’ is because one is applying to stay for...

Re: Schengen - EU Family Member

Appreciate your views. However there would indeed be a problem if we stayed in Portugal for 3 months, left for the UK for a month and then returned to Portugal for a further 3 months. Without a...

Schengen - EU Family Member

I have a UK passport and a passport from a EU country (not Portugal). My wife only has a UK passport. The EU rules state that as I have free movement across the EU my wife’s stay in Portugal is not...

Re: Gifting property in Portugal

Re: Circuit breakers RCBO

Just to add some caution as we are discussing potentially dangerous aspects of electricity…..one cannot be too careful, I briefly researched the value of a 300ma RCB rather than a more sensitive...

Re: Circuit breakers RCBO

Thanks Livaboard. If I cannot find the RCBO’s (and I will be cross if I can’t), then I will have to go as you comment with changing the RCB to a 300ma one, though the safety factor will reduce 10...

Re: Driving test in Portugal

Can't follow your logic. You suggest 'one change now' and then say 'both could drive in the UK'. How if its very difficult to find an insurer to accept a PT licence? I wouldn't say this is a valid...
