Re: What are you guys doing through this crisis?

Probably right. And good advice. It's easy to slip into too much drama.

Re: What are you guys doing through this crisis?

Well in a surreal way it is, but perhaps more than relaxing.... feeling detached and overwhelmed, whilst seemly carrying out mundane activities. Has anyone else experienced this?

Re: What are you guys doing through this crisis?

Right before lockdown I brightened up the balcony with some plants. Sensing that it might go on for a long time, I also bought two quite large shallow containers and planted some grass seeds. Now,...

Anyone in the Reggio/Parma area?

Hi, I was wondering if there was anyone in the Reggio Emilia / Parma area? Even though I've been here for years, I don't know any expats, and it would be great to meet a few!

Re: Positive experiences with long term rentals?

Re: Positive experiences with long term rentals?

Thanks philat98, I never thought of looking at my area's equivalent - might be a good idea.
I've looked at several local estate agents, and the long term rentals seem to be pretty thin on the...

Positive experiences with long term rentals?

Has anyone had any experience with long term rentals?
I live in the city, but have been looking (mainly online) for a small long term rental in the country, somewhere not too remote. Emilia-Romagna...

Re: Christmas cards

I don't think I've ever received a Christmas card from an Italian. Though my phone seems to bombarded by abysmal Christmas graphics during the 'festive' season.
In the first few years that I lived...

Re: grass cutting ?????

I knew someone who kept a few rabbits, and during various times throughout the day had them in a very large circular wire fence thing which she'd move around the grass and they'd nibble away. Have no...

Thanks conniewalker!

Just wondering, does the pea powder/flour/puree come in a narrow and long sachet? It's not bad either for making an instant sauce to go over veggies...

And Mick_P good...

Re: Pea powder?

I've used it to make a green, veggie soup. Use it together with water, stock cube, boil and then add some chunks of broccoli and cavolo nero at the last few minutes.
You could be more adventurous...

Re: So much for happy, friendly, carefree Italian people...

Quite true...in my experience I've come across plenty of stiff shop assistants, i'd say the proportion would be 80% rude-ish and 15% neutral with 5% friendly.
As for people I Know...when asked "how...
