Default Christmas Lunch

Do you cook Christmas lunch... Italian style, UK/US/ROW style? Are menus already decided?

Last year I went hiking in the lakes, it was a lovely sunny day. This year am less inspired and was wondering whether to 'do' Christmas in form or another or pass!

Traditional UK lunch. Our Italian relatives quite liked it last year and are coming back for more😁

Accetturese, does that include Yorkshire pudding? How did the Italian relatives like that?
I once proposed Christmas pudding to an unassuming bunch of OH's relatives, only to witness: 1) fear 2) confusion 3) slight embarrassment all mixed into one!!!! Needless to say it's something I went on to enjoy by myself down the line!

Absolutely not. Yorkshire pudding should only be served with roast beef! Although I do love them, I don't think we have tried them on the relatives. Roasted parsnips and cauliflower cheese is just about all they can cope with...

Our Italian neighbours love Yorkshire puds.

A roast would be a traditional UK Sunday lunch but yorkshire puds should only be served with roast beef. Only other meal I can think of for a yorkshire batter type thing would be a toad-in-the-hole.

Hope all you guys enjoyed your xmas fayre whatever you chose to serve.

We did a traditional roast turkey with all the associated trimmings & served early evening.

I didn't know that about Yorkshire Pudding :-D!
Cauliflower cheese is lovely... haven't had that in years...

In the end we had Stinco and Christmas Pudding. I know and odd mix. But it somehow worked. But next year made a promise that it'll be a packed lunch out hiking somewhere, or an ice cream on a beach somewhere warm!
