Re: Fiance or spouse?

If going down the UK fiancee (or spousal) visa route, you'd have to apply from the USA. All UK visas must be applied for from within your country of residence.

Keep in mind a UK fiancee visa is...

Re: Need some help budgeting for our UK trip!

Sorry, I stand very corrected on that one! I've never been one to pay really close attention to how fast or slow my payg balance is ticking down.

However, I have an Orange payg SIM as well, and...

Re: US -> UK situation

Yes, but keep in mind that entry into the UK is not automatic. Mention of the word "boyfriend/fiance" is an immediate red flag at immigration, and your fiance may very well be asked for proof of...

Re: help with the I-130

The UK marriage visit visa is good for 6 months. Your fiancee can stay in the UK the entire 6 months if she so desires, but she cannot work.

This is a relatively new visa, which is why some...

You can send M-bags via either airmail or surface mail and they are probably the cheapest option if...

Re: What Visa for my partner

Unfortunately there is no way around it--they are pretty strict about having two years worth of evidence linking you to the same address (bank statements, utility bills, etc). I have read about...

Re: Marriage visit visa to UK

You'd have to apply through the British Consulate in either New York, Chicago, or LA (depending on where you live) for the marriage visitor visa. This can be done in person in one day or by post...

Re: USgirl+UKboy: Best strategy to achieve simple goal of Love/Life together?

Like other posters have said, to be together as quick as possible it is much easier to move to the UK, at least for now. The absolute easiest way would be for your fiance to come to the USA on the...

Re: Moving, Marrying in the USA on VWP

Nope, you don't need your divorce to be final to obtain a fiance visa for the UK. But you do need proof that the divorce is "well under way." Plus like I said above, those on fiance visas in the UK...

Re: Moving, Marrying in the USA on VWP

If I were you, I'd go on that trip together to the states--except while you are there, have her apply for a UK fiancee visa. Your divorce does not need to be final to receive this visa--just...
