hey. i was talking to my girlfriend the other day while we were in london about if we wanted to move back to the uk for a while (from aus). we were wondering what type of visa she could get by being my girlfriend that would allow her to live and work too.
any ideas? we don't have any plans just yet, just thinking ahead to make sure we fulfill any requirements (such as living together for x years, etc)
cheers,
nick

actually, i found the answer here: http://www.workpermit.com/uk/unmarried.htm
however, my next question is this.. does anyone actually know if it's possible to get around the two year living together requirement? my girlfriend lives 2 hours away from me (we work in different cities) but we spend every weekend together. we've been doing this for over a year, and she's looking for work in my city (there's none for me in hers).
anyway, any help gratefully recieved.
cheers,
nick

cheers. she only qualifies for a whv, but now they've restricted the working conditions it's not an option.

lol. i don't believe in marriage :-) outdated concept.
just wondered if there was a way around it. i know that going from the uk to oz, you can get around the 2 years living together if you can provide proof of an ongoing relationship...
anyway, if it can't be done, it can't be done. not too much of an issue because i love living in australia, so we'll just have to wait....
