Arrived in the USA on K-1 visa at the weekend.
The Dutch border guy asked trickier questions than the US guy did.

Re: Let's talk about cars

I've been approaching my driving all wrong.

I was under the impression that I got in, drove somewhere and tried to enjoy it as much as possible. Irrespective of certain other factors.

Re: To claim or not to claim...

I've just been stung by such things.
Had a Landy hit me in the rear quarter as he was pulling out of a T-junction.

So are those two cars the same model with the same engine? If not then you're still comparing apples to oranges.

When you...

Hard to tell.

That was what you typed.

This part you have just added. So if you are going to add things afterwards, then I reserve the right to change my replies to suit the new...

Re: How much did you pay for gas today?

DYS?
No idea what you're asking.

But I'm still amazed how you can think that the exact same car with the exact same engine can have wildly different mpg just down to where in the world it is....

Re: How much did you pay for gas today?

Apples/oranges.
When making comparisons it helps if you can compare like for like.

Re: Drivers License just passed...

Re: Tele

Agree with N1cky, Fargo is actually one to watch.
Hearing Martin Freeman with that weird accent (I'm moving there in 2 weeks) is slightly odd but he does it well.

It's funny that I recognise most...

That's very nice of you, I wouldn't let that under my truck let alone in it.

Re: "Failing to plan is planning to fail" - so here is mine

Or you're like him cos you're young and don't know any better.

Either way you're wrong. End of.

Where I'm going you have to build the fire up enough so it can be seen from the nearest city (2k people) 7 miles away. And hope it's the day...
