Those things at Superstore are awful. Every sausage roll I've tried in Canada appears to have been made by someone who has never eaten a sausage roll.....

The Estate pays Inheritance Tax in the UK, not the Beneficiaries. So when you get the money, it has already been taxed (if any tax was due).

10 Years today!

26th October 2013 we landed at Vancouver as Temporary Foreign Workers.
September 2015 we became Permanent Residents by flag poling at Peace Arch
2019 we got Citizenship

You can only count HALF the time as a temporary resident, up to a maximum contributing period of 1 year (which is 50% of 2 years).

One year as a temporary resident only contributes half a year.

We submitted our Citizenship applications on 1st June 2018.

Today we had our Citizenship Ceremony - 4th June 2019.

Test date was 14th March.

That's the 'Good' update.

The 'Bad' update is that on 8th March, my employer did some downsizing and I was one of 20 people let go.
