UPDATE:
Okay, so it turns out his grandfather wasn't born in Germany. He was born in Namibia (then South-west Africa) in 1910 to German parents who emigrated there in 1908.

Sorry to hear! But thanks for the advice.

Great to know my CGT will be deferred. How would we calculate what the CGT will be?
