You can only apply for ARTC when you arrive in Oz. It can take 3 months i believe i was OSTR so i cant say for definite.

I am pretty sure Victoria is gap training for both as well. As far as I am aware the only short cut for ARTC is in SA.

If only it was that easy! For people that arrived a few years ago it was and they now have history working for the right companies. You have about a 0.5% chance of walking into a mining job here now...

Yes i had 9 assessments to do at home and a final project that all had to be passed at 100% very time consuming as there are no 1 word answers and most require you to state the specific clause No.

Yeah i bet your glad! 5 months is a long time. I just got laid off from my job due to the company having no work for the last couple of months but I have managed to get something else straight away....

No it is to get a provisional license which would allow you to begin gap training and he needs 7 years exp in total. One thing i will say about Australia is even though their standard is poor...

I have just finished gap training in WA and it has took me almost a year and I am one of the first to complete it. I would say all in it has cost me around $10K due to having to take 4 weeks off work...

There is no other way to get an A grade quicker now. SA with an ARTC is the last loophole I believe or you can work unlicensed win NSW. Make sure you can afford to support yourself for a while as...

Not even a shaver socket. they just put 240v socket outlets right next to the sink here. One of many things you will be shocked by! But hey we need to deskill for 1 year at a huge cost when we arrive...
