Thanks for all the replies so far. Yes, the only route out of this one seems to divorce my current British wife, marry an Aussie, get my citizenship, divorce Aussie wife ("we weren't meant to be..")...

Watch out for Bayswater in Sydney - they have been taken to court in WA for dodgy advertising. Unfortunately the NSW law is different and they can get away with their adverts here...something like...
