I understand that, I was trying to point out that finding a sponsor by a inner city school district would be very very difficult. Getting US certified in an area such as ESL would be a huge advantage.

For us it will save (1 adult and 2 kids) over $1500 to fly from Toronto compared to flying from Detroit. The routes are different and we wouldn't have to pay mainland Europe...

Applied for ITIN's with the help of an authorized agent as Michigan does not have IRS office capable of doing it!
Was told it would take at least 16 weeks to get numbers.

OK, I just re-did the Turbo Tax and it will be definitely be worth re-filing. I think I will ask H&R Block for help!!

My two were 7 and 6. That was 18 months ago. They also had 16 weeks out of school, as we moved mid May and couldn't get them registered for school quick enough before the summer vacation started....
