I'll give the iPad version a try for the Man City game today and report back.

The Android app is pants and I've read mixed reviews on the iPad app (that world soccer blog I posted above had a glowing review but comments were mixed). The Android app worked great for us last summer when it was the Olympic app but an update since then has been a disaster, apparently. I haven't tried it yet as TWC isn't offering access--I hope to borrow a mates login and give it a go. (We're switching to Uverse if TWC doesn't offer the extra channels soon).

One site said that the Android problem is a Flash issue--NBC app requires Flash 11.3 and of course Flash support has been discontinued so newer tablets don't have it. Some people load the Flash apk file and get it to work and others use an older smartphone etc with Flash and it's worked. Our Galaxy tab has Flash 11.1 and so I'll see if I can get that running.

The Fox Soccer 2 Go app never worked for us (Android) but we could stream fine from their website on all devices. I hope to get to that point with the NBC app--happy to be done with Fox except for this one issue.

so far so good but its early doors.
at least there were no pop up ads on the bottom of the screen like FSC used to do every 5 minutes. I hated the American commentary on FSC. Given that I used to have to pay $10 extra for a sports package to get FSC on cox cable, I'm glad NBC have got the EPL.

I suppose ESPN and FSC will split champions league and FA cup games?

Fox Soccer doesn't really exist anymore. Fox Soccer Channel got rebranded as Fox Sports 1 and is appalling. Fox Soccer Plus is still the same but also a pay channel.

It's still got the "Fox Soccer" DOG and it showing "Being Liverpool" back to back here.

Official end date is 2 Sept or so and it is expected to be relaunched as FXX, sister to fx. For now it is effectively over.

Speed channel became Fox sports 1 and Fuel channel Fox sports 2.

Fox are keeping Fox soccer plus and Fox soccer 2 go for overflow matches. There will also be a new app for Fox sports 1.

They've dropped Sky sports news and Fox Soccer Report and added their own daily show (sadly) airing in fox sports 1 and fs plus.

'Twas alright NBC, much better than having the bright orange Warren Barton telling me about great pace and technique or Gus Johnson yelling random things at wholly inappropriate moments.

They teased us with Lineker, but Rebecca Lowe's not so bad. I will miss FSC's cringingly bad halftime 'breakdowns' on that indoor pitch. There's nothing like seeing men kick a football around in a full suit on live television.

Gary Lineker has been signed up by NBCSN as a special contributor so hopefully he'll be popping up fairly regularly. It's amazing just how big British sport and presenters are becoming over here. Currently watching Crowd Goes Wild over on Fox Sports 1 where Georgie Thompson appears to be in charge of things. Surely it's only a matter of time before we start getting major cricket coverage over here LOL

Have you tried baseball?

I've got fox sports 1 so I'm thinking that might be good for formula 1? A much better option

F1 is on NSC SN now, same channel as the footie. Fox Sports 1 used to have it when it was under the Speed Channel name.

My husband spent most of Saturday tweeting NBC that their live up to the minute tweet updates didn't include the score! They were reporting a goal had been scored, but not including what the score actually was.
By Sunday they started adding the score, but it still needs work. Prob because Americans put the score backwards all the time they were confused!
Hopefully it will be sorted for this weekend, I can't take another weekend of my husband shouting at his phone 'BUT WHAT IS THE SCORE"!!!
