Yeah, as I said before, I only have to exchange my license for the new one. Oh and I also had to take the 3-hour drug-and-alcohol seminar that all new drivers and all out-of-country license holders...

I'll be able to drive in Germany with my US license - that's what the reciprocity agreement is all about. If I move back to Germany permanently, I'll get my German license back from the authorities...

I agree, I think it's perfectly obvious what it says - but will the MVA see it that way?? only one way to find out, I guess....Not much I can do about it right now, so I guess I'll try my luck and...

Frambuesa, I'm in a similar position - I currently drive on my German drivers license which the insurance (GEICO in our case) isn't crazy about; it also looks like they won't accept my no claims...
