My daughter (aged 20) has received her citizenship interview...

Re: Leaving the Bay Area ...

Your requirements were similar to ours, other than we needed 4 bedrooms. I would definitely avoid the current new builds as they are so close together you can actually hear your neighbours talking in...

Re: Weather the storm, stay positive

Ditto everyone else! I used to be quite shy, but soon learnt that I had to put myself out there, otherwise I would hate it. Neighbours were the first people I met and fortunately they were nice. Then...

Re: Buying a house - anything to be wary of

Thank you. That's what we were thinking too. Thankfully we got the counter offer through at 10pm last night after lots of going backwards and forwards. It's not full steam ahead with surveys,...

Re: Buying a house - anything to be wary of

Good luck with whatever you decide. Buying a house here seems to be much more expensive than buying one in the UK and more stressful too! We put an offer in on our first house here yesterday and are...

Re: Florida Drivers License - issued by state?

Thats normal for visa holders whether you have a SSN or not. Both myself (no SSN as on H4 visa) and my husband (with a SSN on H1B visa) weren't issued our first DL's and just given a letter and had...

Re: Florida Drivers License - issued by state?

Ah I see  I was referring to Orange County in Florida. I always forget there is more than one and can see the confusion with now living in California

Re: Florida Drivers License - issued by state?

Was there a reason why you didn't do both together?

When I did mine, both tests together, it took about 3 weeks for the driving license to arrive. However my children's school didn't need to see...

Re: What medicine I need to bring to US for my children ?

And to add onto this, acetaminophen is the American name for paracetamol.

If you can, I would bring some, just so you don't have to rush out and find what suits your child. My kids much prefer...

Re: Leaving UK for USA
