Do you know what happened to those peoples applications? I assume they had to submit all of their documents again? Was there any penalty the offending company had to pay?

Ooooops! Wrong URL. You are right, it is easier to go to the UK than try to come here for a spouse, so much so a britam couple i know just jacked in the K1 process and she has gone to live in the UK....
