So I got an email from my Case Officer today saying my passport has been dispatched and I should receive it tomorrow. I asked her about why the expiry date said March 30th 2012 when it should say...

It was the New Delhi branch in India. My extended date could possibly be because I was a returning resident until '98. I don't know for sure though.

Yay! My visa has been approved! I have until March 30th 2012 to get there... which is odd, I thought it was 6 months from the date of approval.

From the date you get the visa stamped, you get 6 months to get to NZ. From the date of entry, you get 9 months to find a job.

I think timelines really differ a lot from branch to branch. Bavbat got his super quick. But from what I'm reading elsewhere, other people have taken up to a month or more to hear...

Well on the processing times page it said "positive profiles" are processed in 10 days. The others take way longer. Not sure what that means. I still haven't even gotten confirmation that they got my...

It's a requirement to show evidence of work experience. I sent in my offer letters from previous employment and current employment. I also had some letters of recommendation, etc, which I figured...

Where did you read that the police can't certify documents? I believe the list of who can certifies differs for each country - ranging from the police, to doctor's to solicitors, etc.

I don't think you do get a CO for the SFV. You just send your documents in and they make a decision based on that.
