Paulry, it depends on the agent I think. We ask for 1 week deposit when the application is submitted (refundable upon decline of application only).

Unfortunately, the Perth Rental market is fierce at the moment - I'm not looking forward to moving in July! :(

I currently live SOR - only 15 min from the CBD traffic depending! But as eddie said, it definitely is a bit cheaper to live SOR! My relos living NOR tend to pay a bit more in rent/fuel etc

I've found it's quite stressful even when you're not on holidays here trying to rent! :rofl:

Your best bet would be to check out various real estate agencies near the area where you'd like to live...
