Re: Pay a UK Cheque into Hungarian bank.

Seems a bit of a minefield then by the sound of it. I will just post the cheque to my UK bank with a brief cover letter and hopefully there won't be a big fuss about it.

Thank you for all your...

Re: Pay a UK Cheque into Hungarian bank.

Thank you very much for that information!

I always believed that you had to be "ordinarily resident" in the UK regarding your home address for your bank. So that's very useful information, thank...

Re: A Simple, Straightforward UK Bank Account?

I believe that you are correct that if you say that you'll never return to the UK then your account will be closed. It's tricky coming up with constant stories to convince them that you'll return to...

We looked at the prices of the raw materials...

Re: Low-Cost Garden Fencing?

I completely agree that prices are a lot dearer than one might expect. I tend to compare the average Hungarian earnings with tradesmen charges and they just don't add up! I guess that many...

Re: Where are you all ! ?

Hi,

Just South West of Budapest (about 30 Kms). I just love living so near to the capital city whereas in the UK it would cost a fortune to buy a house that close to London!
