OK - got OH on the case today and remembered a handbag which was shown on QVC shopping channel which was Anti Theft so a search on the web found them.

They are called Travelon Carrysafe Anti Theft...

I've also heard of a couple of women - both Indians - having their Mangle sutra necklaces ripped off their necks by men on bikes - one in Candolim, one in Mapusa - is nothing sacred in this place?!!!...

I think the suggestions would all depend on where you live - Goa or UK (or where ever).
Not really feasible to bring them to Goa in your suitcase is it although we would all like one. :)

Reading TA forum - 12 month visas are not a norm now but depends whether you get a 3 or 6 month one. Friends got a six month one in December without a problem or having a covering letter.

Will let you know as we are going for a holiday at the end of the season but will never buy anywhere else in Asia no matter what...
