That totally depends on your case officer at ACS. Ideally, yes they do let you know that the occupation you nominated isn't suitable as per job duties/responsibilities. But, then this isn't always...

The status "Processing commenced", I believe, is the default one. It just means your app has been successfully lodged with DIAC.

Just wait a couple of days for the automated email from DIAC and...

The date of lodgement (as noted by DIAC) is the date you submit your app and payment is successfully made, albeit it is Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) which happens to be UTC+10.00.
