I saw some pictures of the city and it looks great. It has mountains which in my oppinion is a bonus. It's also close to Milan, the most prosperous city. I was thinking moving there and I would be...

What indians really master is music. And I am not only talking about Flamenco, but their traditional music with sitar, tabla, it is beautiful.

Re: Left holding the baby

Comming back to our century/decade it seems that Roma people preserved their customes very well. Throughout the history that's how they are remembered by: stealing, being "truthful".

Re: Left holding the baby

Taking in account that Roma are originally from India, the resemblance is understandable.
Do you remember the scenes when they filled the empty bottles with tap water to sell to the tourists? Or...

Re: Left holding the baby

Unfortunately this is the case with majority of Roma people, they don't like to work even when jobs are offered to them. School is often a burden for them and they drop after a few years. How are...

Re: Left holding the baby

Rightly said. Though 3% is more an approximate figure. When the censuses were organized many of the stable Gypsy declared themselves as Romanian and the nomad ones were not even numbered. So who...

Re: Left holding the baby

Seriously, how can you tell that someone is Romanian or Maroccan if you pass by one? How can you keep the wallet safe only from those when you are in a crowd?

Re: Left holding the baby

I too believe that racial profiling is wrong, but you shouldn’t lose your sense of humour over it.

Reading both Dick's posts, it was hard to see anything but profiling.

If I come across a...

Re: Left holding the baby

Do you keep a close touch with local police forces wherever you go?
I could say the same about the brits, wherever they go they trash the pubs after a few drinks. Would that be fare to say all brits...

But we are speaking...

Salary levels in Italy

Hi,

I would like a parallel between how much one can earn in Italy vs England for the same job.

Is it much less in...

Re: Costa Rica

I've seen very nice 3 bedroom houses and appartments in Santa Ana, 3 of them and they were between $104,000 and $150,000. How would rent be $800-1200? Maybe for uninformed foreigners only.

Re: Smoking ban AGAIN!!!

What I mean is we should stop considering:
- smoking a lesser bad root,
- the right of the bar owners or smokers to do what they want as they restrict the rights of others in the first place.
