I had a Renault Scenic in the UK and I have a Toyota RAV-4 here...not nearly the same thing, but similar enough in terms of being higher up, especially nice for the kids so they can see out. ...

Both of our kids took a bunch of tests when we registered them in their school, first in PA and then again a few months later in NY. In both cases, the testing was done one on one and in both cases...

Our situation was slightly different as I am American, so the kids had been to the US to visit and knew the area we were going to move to (didn't actually end up there, but that is another story!).

Just a quick note on the kindergarten thing...every school district in the US has their own policy on age at admission...but generally speaking they are a year behind the UK. You should have input...
