Private Health Insurance - Exclusion Period for New Immigrants

I recently qualified for Medicare, and subsequently took out Private Health Insurance. I was able to avoid any age loading due my letter from medicare.

But I still have a 12 month exclusion period...

The 457 was great for me, until the point that business dried up, and all staff on 457 visas were repatriated and had 28 days to leave the country or become illegal.

Ah ok, your initial post did say that by letting immigration know your partner wanted to go to Oz now that you might have some chance of getting the visa sooner, which of course would mean skipping...

It was the same as partner visa processing times when we got our PMV granted last Nov. So for London applications, I think you're right, that the current guideline is 5-6 months.

That may have been true in the past, but is no longer the case, as it is all electronic, and you do not HAVE to get your visa in your passport.

Photos are submitted for Prospective Marriage Visas to help prove that the applicant/sponsor have met as they are often not living together or in the same country.
