I recently qualified for Medicare, and subsequently took out Private Health Insurance. I was able to avoid any age loading due my letter from medicare.

But I still have a 12 month exclusion period...

The 457 was great for me, until the point that business dried up, and all staff on 457 visas were repatriated and had 28 days to leave the country or become illegal.

When we got our visa last year, the time it took was the time they quoted. Frontloading/not frontloading doesn't appear to affect processing time.

It was the same as partner visa processing times when we got our PMV granted last Nov. So for London applications, I think you're right, that the current guideline is 5-6 months.

That may have been true in the past, but is no longer the case, as it is all electronic, and you do not HAVE to get your visa in your passport.

Photos are submitted for Prospective Marriage Visas to help prove that the applicant/sponsor have met as they are often not living together or in the same country.
