You should contact the English examination board and they will replace your lost certificates although there is a cost involved.

I have a job in Melbourne as a Psychiatric nurse, they're just waiting until my registration and visa come through. Hope to be out for Jan/Feb 2011.

Hi

I am just about to send my nurse registration forms to AHPRA. Can I then begin the process for the 457 visa application or do I need to wait for the registration document to come through?

It took 3 weeks for my police check to come through, I'm just about to send my forms to APHRA.

I'm off to Melbourne to work as a psychiatric nurse, going on a 457 visa.

The APHRA website states it can take up to 90 days to process the application for registration. My friend recently got her's through after waiting 3 months.

I think you have to have your nurse registration in place before you can apply for the 457 visa. Worth checking!

Its the overseas one you will need to complete ( second form listed).

I did get an email response from them re a query I had. Took 10 days for them to respond. I find their website a bit of a nightmare and not user friendly at all :(

I am a nurse too and emailed health companies in Melbourne my CV. Took a while to find a lot of them but google away and you will eventually find them. I was warned against going with an agency...

Brunswick sounds cool:thumbup: Will check out the rental properties there to get an idea on rental prices.

I love the old picture houses and am a big fan of the world cinema films, not so hot on...
