Re: Relocation relocation relocation...(Dosh that is!)

Hi Paddy,

My OH got a relocation package for coming over. It was $10k plus visa costs and we were told we could spend the money on whatever we wanted and were given a migration consultant who...

If you have no problem going via Germany try Lufthansa.

We flew back last Christmas with them for $2250 each, which at Xmas is a bargain! They have an option where you can pick each leg of the...

Re: NZ is so expensive

Completely agree with this. We could only afford a one bed flat in the outer suburbs of London. In Auckland (and in a suburb much better than the one we lived in London) we could easily afford a...

I've had exactly the same experience with my 'best friend'. We would see each other at least once a week, more most weeks. She was even the first person to come out and visit us when we moved out...

Re: Packing day.

John - be very wary of BA and the claim to take a second 23kg bag cheap. Unless you are flying with BA all the way (which I don't think you can to NZ) you will not get that deal - they won't tell you...

Re: phone & broadband

Don't go with Telecom! We were originally with them when we moved out here 2 years ago and they were awful. It was slow, unreliable and customer services were awful. We managed to get out of the...

Re: Things that annoy you about NZ but aren't really that important!

Yep I'm in NZ and this is correct so driving on the motorway is crazy and you can have cars passing you on both sides at once if you're in the middle lane!! And lorry's can use any lane they like...

Unfortunately it's allowed over here - if you are on a dual carriageway or motorway you can pass on the left!
