First time for me, I landed and was issued the TWP .. The GF then traveled a month later, She had a copys of the Job offer & LMO. She had the original STAT DEC and was issued an Open TWP on the spot...

Yeah .. I am going back to Sparwood very soon pal .. We lived there 07 - 09 on work permits .. Defo the place to go BC ..

Yeah it was 2.4 to the pound when I first landed .. Still not bad for the $ rate.

Totally agree with the Cost of living ..

A Canadian $ pay rate might have level pegged a UK £ rate but it was...

I had to sit both tests for a BC licence .. $15 for the theory & $35 I think for the practical .. Ha Ha how cheap ..

$28 hr is a 4th year Apprentice wage in the Elk Valley. I think he may not get full coin until he challenges the IP...

Its been a few year since i looked into it .. The break down of each NOC might fall into your partners experience but in general a Plant fitter in Canada is 7312...

Well .. When I moved to Canada a few year back (Work Permit) my cousin shipped my Tools through his company to Calgary.

7312 is general Off-Road Heavy Duty. I.E Mining, Contruction and farm equipment.

7321 is general light duty On road. I. Big rigs, Busses and heavy pick ups.

Not sure if you can challenge 7312...
