A buddy of mine moved from Sydney to Brisbane a year ago and this is how he did it:

1. first he flew to Brisbane and stayed driving around for a couple of days to see/check the areas...

Though my concern is that I'll be contracting with companies outside Australia. I of course will be able to show the earning/tax etc, but...
